I usually just send one song at a time, selecting it from an imported or download song from my iTunes music folder. If we post the YouSendIt link when we upload it, anyone can access the uploaded music for up to seven days. I think we just need to distribute the YouSendIt upload links via the web or email.
Does this make sense?

the first song u pick should really kick ass.
actually, early adapters will get 2 songs each, to be placed in sequential order on the mix.
so u will know the songs before u, and you'll have to attach the next two songs.
werrrd...this idea rules. i like how simple it is.

Maybe the best way to organise things is to have people email the tracks to mixxxymixxx@gmail.com. That way, the tracks are stored indefinitely on the Gmail server, and we can include our own write-ups with the submitted tracks.
So:
1. Write an email to mixxxymixxx@gmail.com.
2. Don't forget to attach a track.
What do you think? This way we can get rid of YouSendIt altogether.
i was thinking the same thing...i guess it will work as long as gmail doesn't have a size restriction on attachments or a thing against sending mp3 files in their user agreement.
Attachments can be up to 10 megabytes.
k. thanks, ray. i read the agreement too and i think, all things considered, we might wanna stick with using yousendit to send to the mixxxymixxx account.
if once and awhile someone sends an attachment directly to mm than that's ok too.
